A simple method of stripping away the wax is to use mineral spirits. Apply the floor wax to a rag and gently rub it in. Then put some mineral spirits on a rag and rub in a circular motion to remove the stain. Dampen a rag dab the floor and then touch.

To fully remove the stain rub the mineral spirits into the stain in a circular motion. To remove paint on hardwood floors start by adding a drop of dish soap to a damp paper towel and rubbing the paint stain.

If that doesn t take the paint off use a rag to blot denatured alcohol on the stain let it soak in for a few minutes then scrub it with a brush.
